WHAT IS YOUR ‘BRAND’?
A recent report by NewsCred found that over 70% of visitors to your website base their opinion of you on your brand. Coupled with other research which found that first time visitors form an opinion of you in two tenths of a second, it’s worth trying to ensure that it’s the right one!
If your website and marketing material is a mess, people will assume that you are. If it just looks like all the others, has no particular identity and does not stand out, people will assume that you don’t either. If there’s no substance in it, people will assume you have little to offer.
The look, feel and content of your material is key in establishing your ‘brand’. It tells people who you are, and what you stand for. It doesn’t have to be dazzling and expensive, but it does need to be consistent – both throughout your website and with business cards and other printed material.

- What do you want your visitors to remember about you – are you expensive, cheap, fun, serious…? etc.
- How do you want your visitors to recognise you – a great photo/image, memorable logo or catchy phrase?
